American singer, songwriter and guitarist John Clayton Mayer. He was born on the 16th of October 1977 in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Mayer began playing guitar at a young age and attended Berklee College of Music in Boston, but left after two years to pursue a career in music.
Mayer released his debut album, Room for Squares, in 2001. The album was a commercial success and spawned the hit singles: "No Such Thing" and "Your Body Is a Wonderland".
